The club protocols are aligned with current health and safety measures and are subject to change as the situation evolves. Courtesy and good conduct in the club must prevail at all times.

General Information

All members must show and register proof of double vaccination to participate in league play. No proof – no entry!

  • Face coverings must be worn at all times in the building except in the ice area while curling.

  • Frequent use of sanitizing stations located throughout the club are highly recommended.

  • Respect physical distancing at all times.

  • Familiarize yourself with health screening requirements. If you are not feeling well, you should not come to the club.

 Game Play

Players handle only their two assigned rocks.

  • Only 1 sweeper allowed.

  • Both skips allowed in the house, distanced. Skip from delivering team has control of the house. Opposing skip stands behind the house. Both skips may sweep a rock per regular curling rules. Courtesy and distancing must prevail.

  • Players, remaining distanced, may use broom or feet to relocate rocks once an end has been completed.

  • Only club members may spare in any given league.

 After the Game

  • Masks on, make your way to the upstairs lounge with all your belongings. Every member is encouraged to socialize: this is not only an integral part of our beautiful game, it is also critical to the club’s ongoing operation and ultimate success.

  • Face coverings may be removed while sitting but must be worn otherwise.

  • Everyone is strongly encouraged to use credit or debit for all purchases to limit the exchange of cash and facilitate end-of-shift duties for bar volunteers.

We thank everyone for your continued support of our club. Your ongoing cooperation is critical to our success. More than ever, volunteering at the club this season is essential to ensuring a smooth transition back to curling. With everyone doing their part, we will have a great season.

Your Board of Directors

An email will be sent to all current members with a link to the online meeting.

Members are asked to sign into the Member's Home page to review the supporting documents before the meeting.

The Board of Directors thanks the membership for their response to the survey.

The survey was sent to all current members regarding their comfort to return to curl during Stage 3 of the COVID situation. Over 200 online responses were collected from our senior and adult members as well as parents of our youth curlers. It has been decided that we have received enough feedback to make a recommendation to the membership. Those who did not respond will not be contacted as earlier communicated. Summarized information will be presented at the Annual General Meeting scheduled on August 20, 2020.

Your input is valued. Thank you and we look forward to answering your questions on August 20th!

8-Ender enjoyed by NGCC Men's Team

NGCC teams continue to do well at local bonspiels.  In March 2017, one of our men's team lost in the A side final at a bonspiel in Pembroke but their loss in the final was offset by the fact that they achieved the holy grail of curling in one of their games during the spiel - an 8 ender.

8 enders are statistically harder to achieve than a hole-in-one. Well done guys!!
