Located in the city of Kemptville, our not-for-profit club offers five sheets of the finest curling ice south of Ottawa along with lots of free parking for club activities and facility rentals.
The success of the North Grenville Curling Club (NGCC) relies on the efforts of many volunteers who create a safe and enjoyable place for all to enjoy.
Some interesting facts:
- Known for its friendliness, NGCC welcomes at least 50 new members every year.
- Our Learn-to Curl, (LTC), Little Rocks and Youth Development programs are well known for the quality of the instruction, and how fun the instructors make learning!
- NGCC has its own Pro Shop where new and experienced curlers can buy equipment and clothing at preferred rates. Whether you need a new broom, curling shoes, a stick for stick curlers, or a stabilizer, we’ve likely got what you need.
- We can boast 5 sheets of competition-ready excellent ice!
- A mix of fun bonspiels and serious competitive spiels punctuate our calendar
- In May 2016, we were honoured to have our facility selected by the World Curling Federation and Curling Canada to scientifically test the latest technologies in broom design with the top curlers in the world. Cool, eh?
- We raise money annually for a worthy cause; the 2021 ‘Rocking the Ukraine’ raised almost $14000 for charities supporting the Ukraine.
- Volunteer driven, the NGCC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.
- NGCC is affiliated with Curl Ontario and our members regularly participate in regional bonspiels. Many of our instructors attend and are certified through the CurlON curling education programs.
